Like most Unconventional Training methods, the Onnit Battle Ball is an extremely versatile functional training tool that could be used as a complete fitness system by itself. This Medicine Ball Wall Ball hybrid naturally lends itself to full body rotational movements that engage core muscles unlike traditional implements.
While the Medicine Ball is usually seen as an effective rehabilitative training tool, it can also be used as an intense, functional endurance implement as well. Using the techniques promoted by Onnit Academy, the Onnit Battle Ball becomes a specialized implement used to maximize full body engagement with every rep of every exercise.
The shape, size, and weight of the ball are ideal for transverse movements that engage the core and simulate athletic motions common in a number of sports. When combined with high intensity endurance drills, these exercises become extremely beneficial in encouraging natural full body movements while quickly enhancing conditioning.

Explosive Battle Ball Workout
Perform all five exercises as a circuit with no rest in between exercises. After completing the final exercise in the circuit, rest 60 seconds before repeating for another two rounds.
- Overhead Throws – 3 rounds x 10 reps
- Chest Passes – 3 rounds x 10 reps
- Rotational Throws – 3 rounds x 10 reps
- Scoop Throws – 3 rounds x 10 reps
- Overhead Backward Throws – 3 rounds x 10 reps
